Central pairs teams advance to US National Championships

A father-son duo and a seasoned women's team will represent Central Division in the National Lawn Bowls Championships this October in San Diego, CA. Jim Cavender (lead) and Max Cavender (skip) went 4W-0L on their way to the pairs playdowns title.  Five pairs teams competed in the event. Jim is a two-time US champion and the 20-year old, Max, will be playing in his second consecutive championship. This will be a special moment for the Cavender's to play together at the national level.

On the women's side, Anna Witt (skip) and Glorianne Mather (lead) will try to move up a notch at the Championships this year after finishing in 2nd place in 2011. They beat Pat Wimmer and Charlene Harmon in the playdowns to advance.
