2023 World Bowls Championships in Gold Coast, Australia

Aaron Zangl and Bob Schneider from the Central Division were on hand as part of the men’s USA five-man team for this year’s World Bowls Championships in Gold Coast, Australia. I was there to help as one of the men’s team managers and was able to capture some pretty cool images from the tournament.

The boys had a great showing with Aaron, Loren Dion (SW Division), and Bill Brault (SW Division) winning their section in the triples to advance to the quarter-finals. And then again in the Fours, all three along with Bob Schneider were able to advance to the quarter-finals for the Rinks event. Charlie Herbert (SW Division) had a tough section in the singles but held his own against some of the best in the world. Bob and Charlie played well in the pairs and were a bowl or two away from getting out of their section.
