Lawn bowling in the Midwest (CO, IL, MN, OH, SD, WI)

Lawn bowling in the heartland of the US presents some challenges and unique experiences. Okay, the most difficult challenge will be to find a green in your neighborhood. However, once you locate one, you will be warmly welcomed by the dedicated bowls community who will make sure you feel at home.

The Midwest features rooftop bowling at Brit’s Pub in downtown Minneapolis, where you can enjoy a beer in one hand and roll a bowl with the other. Not to be outdone, Milwaukee Lake Park, which boasts some of the best lawn bowlers in America, has a keg of beer in the frig. Miller beer, of course.

The lawn bowls season in the Midwest runs from May to October, depending on location.

Lawn bowling (or ‘lawn bowls’ or just plain ‘bowls’) is a great activity for individuals, couples, groups of friends and colleagues, service groups or for church outings and the like. Contact the clubs or individuals below about the bowling schedule or to schedule your next event.
