When and where did you first start bowling?  Rockford – 1983

What do you like about lawn bowling? What keeps you coming back?  Good friends and competetion

What brand and model of bowls do you use?

b. 14-16 second green Henesilite Tigers

What type of grip do you use? (finger-tip, claw, palm, other)
Claw grip

How do you initially select your line? (point on bank, spot on green, shoulder-arc of bowl,  overall visualization of green, other)
Trial Bowls, it just comes to me after a few bowls.

What game do you prefer to play and why? (i.e. singles-pairs-triples-fours)
Pairs, discussing the head and figuring out what shots to use, kind of like playing chess with a partner.

What is your goal during trial ends?
Line and weight

In singles, do you usually take the mat or give it away?
Give it away.

In a clutch situation, are you more likely to draw or drive? (assuming both shots could work)
I will use either shot, depending on how head is built at that time.

What self-talk/mantras do you use during a game?
Hum a favorite song.

Do you prefer whites or colored attire for tournament play?
Color, it just adds to the game.

Which is your favorite bowling green in US?
Lake View LBC, Sun City, Arizona.

What one rule of the game would you like to see changed?
Win the end, keep the mat.

What else would you like people to know about you?
I drive 3 hours round trip because that’s what it takes to bowl and stay competitive. My wife understands what the game means to me, and I will keep doing it as long as health and God allow me to. Memories of games (good or bad) and bowling with “buddies” are something I will always have – good memories that we all need in life.
