Maxwell Cavender has always been ahead of the times, and bowling in Australia guarantees he’s 15 hours in advance of his hometown, Milwaukee. Cavender is the U.S. representative at the 2015 World Junior Championships on the Gold Coast, an annual event on the World Bowls calendar for bowlers under 25.

With one game remaining in sectional round robin play, Cavender is 4-2 and in third place. A win against Kenta Hasebe (4-1) who bowls for Japan, will assure Cavender a spot in the coveted quarter-finals. This match takes place Thursday night (U.S. time). Results can be found on the Broadbeach B.C. website.

Win or lose, Max has represented the U.S. strongly in this prestigious international tournament, but we wish him a win tonight.
