Central lawn bowlers claim one medal at US Championships

Competing in the US Championships, lawn bowlers from the Central Division came away with one silver medal at the national competition held in San Diego CA. In the men’s singles competition, Bob Schneider finished with 5-2 record that put him in a 3-way tied for 2nd place and a silver medal. In other disciplines, the men’s pairs team of Max Cavender and Jim Cavender had a 4-3 winning record and finished in a tie for 3rd place. Central’s women singles representative, Charlene Harmon, had 2-4 record, while the pair’s team of Anna Witt and Glorianne Mather ended with 1 win, 5 losses and 1 tie. The Central Division thanks its representatives for competing strongly at this premier event in the US.
